Resident Advisor
Spring 2024
Estepona, Spain

As a Resident Advisor for Spain Abroad, I provided hands-on mentorship to students navigating the challenges of living abroad, offering guidance on self-care, cultural adjustment, and co-living dynamics. I facilitated a supportive and inclusive environment where students could develop independence and resilience while immersing themselves in a new culture. Through one-on-one check-ins and group discussions, I helped students manage emotional, social, and academic transitions. Additionally, I designed and led immersive cultural programming—such as visits to local markets, farms, and historical sites—creating opportunities for experiential learning and deeper cross-cultural engagement. My role required adaptability, empathy, and strong communication skills to ensure students felt supported and empowered throughout their experience abroad.
